After working as part of the Centre Street Animal Hospital team for the past few years, Lucy finds immense satisfaction from interacting with clients and caring for their furry companions. Even more gratifying are all the invaluable lessons learned from individual cases, the experiences all add up to take animal care to an even higher level of awareness. On a personal note, the year 2010 was a tough one. She cared for, and said good-bye to three of her cats as they completed the inevitable cycle of life. She gained greater insight into caring for geriatric felines, the eccentricities as they age and succumb to illnesses, and the assorted tips and tricks to keep them happy for as long as they desired. She hopes that in sharing these personal experiences with clients who may be going through similar journeys, she can bring a measure of comfort and understanding to them during these difficult times. Happily, she still shares her life with three cats, Coco, Tibby and Lottie, and her better half, Conrad, who is her rock. |
